What is Awakening Grace?

Designed to remove the harmful work beliefs within a business’ culture, these trauma-informed courses are for the individual first, allowing you to be vulnerable and honest with yourself in a safe space before coming together as a group to do more work together.

The goal is to help employers and individuals to uncover their unconscious biases using a growth mindset, mindfulness, and breath work, as well as affirmations, and with these tools begin to change false, negative beliefs into positive ones so that they can become the best version of themselves.

Beginning with individual work allows you to sit in awareness of yourself and to non-judgmentally love yourself including your mistakes because mistakes are simply opportunities for growth, not failures. Coming together with your team allows you to align these practices with the others in your company, creating better work harmony and a safer space overall.

So How Does It Work?

The training is broken into two phases: first, the group breaks out into their own individual training, to allow for a safe environment, free from pressure or judgment, to begin uncovering their own biases. Then, the group comes back to continue the work together.

Phase 1: Individual Training

Phase 1 teaches the individual how to uncover their unconscious bias using growth mindset, mindfulness, and breath work, as well as affirmations, all in a safe, judgment-free environment.

Individuals launch the process of self-discovery by applying techniques learned through a series of seven courses. The courses are delivered through downloadable videos so you can learn at your own pace and revisit lessons.

Phase 2: Group Training

Phase 2 teaches the group how to put the techniques learned in Phase 1 into practice for a team and how to apply them in a group setting. The organizational approach includes mindful listening, mindful breathing, self-visualization techniques and affirmations to build a more positive environment. It applies trauma-informed techniques to facilitate emotionally-vulnerable conversations with a genuine goal of seeking compassion, understanding, and forgiveness.

Using Awakening race helps you see the situation in a different way because you can put distance between yourself and the thought that you're having about the other person. It teaches the individual techniques of self-soothing and when you're triggered, or in a state of trauma, it teaches you how to look at that scenario in a different way.
